Nessos Information Technologies S.A was founded in 2001 as an incorporated company specialized in developing integrated solutions and information systems and is a member of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and of the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology and Communications Enterprises, thus providing a plethora of robust and reliable services and products.

Using its staff invaluable experience as its incentive force, a staff consisting of informatics consultants, analysts, software engineers, graphic designers and database architects, the company utilizes the most contemporary technologies in order to compose distributed multi-scale applications.

The organization and structure of Nessos Information Technologies S.A, as far as cooperation strategies and tactics, research & development and produced software architecture and design are concerned, serve its globalization strategic goals which were set since its foundation. Moreover, they serve the response needs of contemporary complex markets and their variable environment while utilizing the assets and specialization of the company’s manpower.

Another feature of Nessos Information Technologies S.A is its vast product, activity and technology variety and its clientele diversity.

Every employee belongs vertically to an operational section (i.e. research & development section) but, simultaneously, belongs horizontally to a group of other employees that belong to other operational sections. Such a team may undertake a certain activity or project under the supervision of a project manager; this way, every employee can belong to overlapping “networks”, each one having its own coordination, time schedule and resources.

The basic advantage of this organization scheme is ease of cooperation and consent, fast decision making and coordination. This organization scheme makes every company activity of equal importance and allows decision making based on the company’s interest as a whole.

The organizational structure of the company includes three permanent sections – managements:

1. Management section – Board of directors

  • Financial administration (insurance, tax and miscellaneous tasks, payrolls etc)
  • Accounts department
  • Human resources

At the top of the management pyramid, the decision making instrument is the board of directors; a board that is bordered by the financial and legal advisor who are external associates. The board of directors has the utmost coordination role and is the one that evaluates and distributes company resources at the created operational sections. It also makes decisions regarding the organization and internal company operation, human resource employment that is selected and suggested by the operational sections and the supply of equipment which is also selected by the operational sections.

2. Research & development section

The research & development section is responsible for designing and developing new products and the maintenance of existing ones. It is also head of research work designs which are implemented to various operational sections, the creation of which it suggests to the board of directors. Moreover, it produces designs of informatics works and composes the technological and research part of the company’s funding offers. It also has the responsibility of quality control of the solutions and services provided, customer support and service and solution maintenance. It defines and makes decisions about the company’s manpower education (which goes on, on a steady basis) and the technological section in which it will be applied. Finally, it decides the most important research topics and the research programs that the company will participate in.

3. Commercial section

The commercial section is responsible for the marketing and commercial exploitation of the solutions produced by Nessos Information Technologies S.A, makes decisions regarding the participation of the company to public competitions for works of informatics; its frame of operation is defined by the board of directors. It also defines the operation of policies and resources bases outlined by the management section and cooperates with the operational sections and the production section regarding marketing issues.
