TASK COST MANAGEMENT
  • Operations cost analysis
  • Money-flow monitoring of works and sub-works
  • Cost center analysis
  • Standard article administration
  • Dynamic report production
  • Comparative cost analysis print-outs
  • Access policies over system transactions
  • Fully configurable operation

GENERAL

The operations cost analysis system, developed by Nessos Information Technologies S.A. is an integrated application with a simple graphical user interface, designed to be used by any private or public organization which executes tasks which are planned and executed by one or more work stations (cost centers).

COST FACTORS

The system monitors the following cost factors:

  • Human labor cost (labor)
  • Fixed equipment cost (equipment)
  • Usage cost of expendable equipment (spare parts)
  • Execution cost of every task executed inside or outside the organization (studies, contract works, general expenses etc).
  • Fixed costs/income for/from various tasks.

Tasks can be grouped by:

  • type (maintenance, operation or manufacturing)
  • execution time (regular or recurring)
  • Every task is connected to its fixed cost/income
  • Every task has prerequisites
  • Every task can be expanded to one or more stages

Moreover, operation commands can be grouped by:

  • issuing station
  • task bill so that the evolution of the execution cost can be monitored
  • operations unit of the organization
  • organization sector

One of the main goals of this application is to council the organization in decision making issues such as:

  • task cost evaluation.
  • Money-flow forecasts
  • Time scheduling per fixed cost and year
  • Task scheduling
  • Sub-contract works evaluation
  • Budget composition

One of the main features of this application is information coding and parametrization. This method provides the ability to dynamically analyze and process data in order to take substantiated decisions regarding maintenance and operation costs of the organization. Factors which are basely coded and parmetrized are:

  • Task to be cost-analyzed
  • Task cost factors. (labor, equipment, spare parts)
  • Theoretical task cost model. (cost article).
  • Fixed costs
  • Task types per fixed cost and their respective tasks.
  • Contract works and studies
  • Works

ARCHITECTURE AND STANDARD COST ARTICLES

The system features the composition of one or more cost budget article for a task. This way, the organization cost service can calculate the execution cost of the basic measurement unit of a task (i.e. cost for a cubic meter of concrete).

During the registration phase of a task command, the user can select the standard task cost article which he can freely modify so that he can register the actual data.

For every task, the following data are registered on a daily basis: quantity of the executed task, personnel which was used and the amount of hours expended (standard and over-time separated), equipment and the amount of time that they were used, amount of material that were expended, grouped by material (cost includes material transfer and possible processing – special tests, additions, etc)

This way, tasks are registered swiftly and deviations from standard articles can be monitored.

AUTONOMY AND NETWORK OPERATION

The application can be installed at the organization intranet and update a central database as long as all its services are connection to it
In case the workstations are not all connected via a central network, the application has features so that:

  • The cost service can update peripheral workstations for parametrization updates using magnetic and optical media.
  • Peripheral workstations can update cost service with new data so that the cost service can evaluate and process information as a whole.

REPORTS AND MIS INFORMATION

  • Standard articles.
  • Task command report
  • Task bill print (money amount criteria).
  • Comparative print out of pre-calculated and actual task cost.
  • Task command print out using dynamic criteria.
  • Cost time monitoring graph per fixed cost group
  • Distribution of cost factors graph per workstation.

SECURITY AND ACCESS CONTROL SUBSYSTEM

The system features an access control and security subsystem which:

  • Allows access to the system only to authorized users who user their user ID and password.
  • Defines the access level for every user.
