Nessos Business Process Framework™ Workflow Platform is a fully object-oriented application developed using Microsoft .NET Framework and based on the n-tier application model.
The presentation layer is provided through IIS and is implemented using ASP.NET technologies and utilizes all of the features provided by Web services. At the data layer SQL Server 2000 with stored procedures is used while Visual Basic .NET object oriented programming language and COM+ objects are used for implementing the business logic layer.

Nessos Business Process Framework Designer™ Used by the Administrator for designing processes using all available organizational resources (users, roles, information exchange forms, documents, data sources). In its fully graphical environment it features one can design the workflow of a process. It also supports process versioning, selective activation of specific process versions and execution simulation.
Nessos Business Process Framework Rules™ Expression Editor is used for defining conditions for controlled transitions from one process step to another based on predefined rules. By combining the resources relevant to the process with arithmetic and logical operators, time and numeric constraints etc, it is possible to form expressions that can be monitored and evaluated.
Nessos Business Process Framework Server™ The “brains” of the system which is responsible for the execution control of workflow processes.
